My name is Haley Borodine and I am currently a Figure Finish Artist at Universal Studios: Orlando Resort. I graduated with my MFA in Properties Design and Management at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 2020. While studying, I was working as both a Properties Master/Designer and a Properties Artisan on 13-15 shows including theatre, dance, and opera. I received my Bachelor of Science in Theatrical Design and Technology from Ball State University in 2013.
I am a passionate and dedicated individual with experience in a wide array of production roles while remaining focused on collaboration, teamwork, and continuous education. Skilled at communicating with diverse audiences ranging from clients to board members including actors, musicians, costumers, vendors, etc. I am a creative thinker who is attentive to detail and works efficiently under pressure within fast-paced environments while also being able to multitask.
While working in the shop, I care about the well-being of my fellow artisans as well as getting the work done. Both camaraderie and efficiency are two things I pride myself of and are two very important elements of having a streamlined and productive shop.
I have previously worked as a scenic art craftsperson at SeaWorld: Orlando, a properties intern at Actors Theatre of Louisville, a properties artisan at Utah Shakespeare Festival, the properties supervisor at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, the technical director at Andrean High School, the properties artisan at Georgia Shakespeare Festival, and as a carpenter at Theatre at the Center.
I am available for freelance work. Please refer to my contact page for more information.
